Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN with at least 18 months of permanent specialty experience and active OH or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Patient population consists of medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Schedule is 3x12 hour shifts with rotating day and night shifts (7am-7:30pm/7pm-7:30am); variable shift possible based on operational needs
• Use of ECG rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring equipment
• Traveler is required to work at least every other holiday
• Candidates must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation within two attempts
• Permanent and per diem staff must wait one year after previous end date before returning
• Modules required pre-start and annually, tracked via Silkroad
• Badge pickup and onsite fingerprinting required before the start date
• Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine screening requirements

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be active
• Minimum of 18 months permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience (travel experience may count)
• One supervisory reference from manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in specialty is required
• No open background check cases and no license hits accepted
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate
