Summary
The Shuttle Bus Driver’s responsibilities include conducting pre-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining a clean and orderly shuttle bus, and assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking. Drivers will operate a minibus, van, or lightweight truck to transport clients, trainees, or company personnel. Ensure compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies. Report any maintenance issues or incidents promptly to the management team. Keep accurate records of passenger counts and mileage. Regularly updating route knowledge and staying informed about traffic conditions will also be essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Convey passengers to and from predetermined locations.
  • Assist passengers in loading and unloading into the vehicle.
  • Answer passengers’ questions in a polite and gentle manner.
  • Maintain constant communication with the dispatcher or manager.
  • Carry out regular checks on the shuttle vehicle before and after each day’s run.
  • Carry out repair of minor faults and report major problems, accidents, or damage to the vehicle to the dispatcher or technician.
  • Obey all traffic rules and regulations guiding the operation of shuttle services in his/her assigned area.
  • Effectively and efficiently transporting guests using safe driving practices.
  • Comply with all HR policies including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
  • Assist with the implementation of company policies, standard operating procedures, and performance standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Daily compliance with company policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, and work schedules.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and Spreadsheet software.

Must possess a Nevada Dispensary agent card and be 21 years of age or older.
