Bama Companies is on the lookout for a Full-Time Ammonia Refrigeration Technician for our dynamic team in sunny Tulsa, OK. With competitive pay starting at $33.45/hr and up based on your experience, you'll be rewarded for your skills and contributions.

Sign-on Partnership: $1000 @ 6 months, $1000 at 1 year, $1000 at 18 months, and $1000 at 2 years = $4000

As a Refrigeration Technician at The Bama Companies, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the heartbeat of our production facility! Your expertise will ensure the safe and effective operation of essential elements like ammonia-based refrigeration systems, HVAC systems, and boilers. What matters most

To thrive as a Refrigeration Technician at The Bama Companies, you'll need a robust set of skills that blend technical expertise with problem-solving prowess! Familiarity with math and reading comprehension will help you interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics with ease. Proficiency in ammonia refrigeration system maintenance and HVAC operations is crucial, along with a solid grasp of plant support systems such as boilers and air compressors. You'll also need to be well-versed in mechanical systems, including pneumatics and lubrication, and possibly dabble in basic MIG and TIG welding. A First Class Stationary Engineer license and knowledge of Predictive Maintenance concepts will set you up for success.

Your ability to navigate emotionally charged situations and diffuse conflicts will be invaluable in a high-energy environment. With at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, particularly in food production, you'll help us maintain excellence while keeping our operations running smoothly!

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Math and reading comprehension to understand and interpret technical manuals

  • and meeting PSM requirements
  • -Maintenance and repair of plant support systems including boilers

  • plumbing and equipment movers •Must be proficient in at least 3 of the following areas and have basic knowledge of the others: -Maintenance and repair of motor controls
  • general industrial wiring and hardware
  • and electrical troubleshooting -Maintenance and repair of mechanical systems including pneumatics
  • bearings
  • seals
  • gears
  • chains
  • sprockets
  • pipe fitting
  • and appropriate lubrication of mechanical systems -Basic Mig and Tig welding for repair purposes -The use of shop machinery including mills
  • lathes
  • drill presses and normal industrial tools for repair purposes •First Class Stationary Engineer license. •Understands Predictive Maintenance concepts & can interpret PdM findings to ensure appropriate repairs are planned/executed •Available for occasional travel to support technical development or other company needs •Available for working any shift in a 24/7 food manufacturing operation •2 years electrical
