Job Description
Position Title: Network Engineer
Location: Columbus OH
Duration:6 months Contract with Possible extension
Pay rate: $24-$26/hr. on w2.
This is a great opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure that powers Amazon and AWS services globally.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the deployment, configuration, and support of network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls in data centers and corporate offices.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues.
Support the documentation of network topologies, diagrams, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with experienced engineers to help scale and improve network reliability and performance.
Learn and apply standard networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and TCP/IP.
Participate in on-call rotation (after sufficient training) to support critical network operations.
Contribute to automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Basic understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS).
Familiarity with network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to learn new technologies and work in a dynamic environment.
