Controller

$160,000 - $175,000 base salary (depending on experience)  

Greater Phoenix, AZ (on-site)  

Vaco has partnered with a growing professional services firm in search of a Controller to lead their accounting operations. You’ll oversee audits, manage technical accounting and financial reporting, and drive system and process improvements across the organization. Responsibilities include:

• Lead technical accounting research and draft financial statements with supporting disclosures
• Manage audits, oversee AP and billing, and drive an efficient month-end close
• Implement impactful process improvements and system enhancements across accounting operations
• Own and optimize accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, Ramp), with strong Excel and reporting skills
• Build internal controls and accounting processes from the ground up; bonus for experience with budgeting tools and Power BI suite

Requirements:

• CPA required
• 3+ years of public accounting experience required
• 3+ years of private equity backed company experience required
• M&A experience required
