As an Exercise Physiologist or Cardiac Rehab Registered Nurse (RN), you will have a significant impact on the patients and staff that you interact with on a daily basis. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and coordinating rehabilitation patients in collaboration with the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation team and being consistent with the mission of UPHS-Portage.

Qualifications:

Required Skills

Experience and/or specialty training in cardiovascular rehabilitation and critical cardiac care.

Basic knowledge of nutrition, risk factor modification strategies, counseling techniques and uses of educational programs and technologies as applied to cardiovascular rehabilitative services.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external

Position Requirements:

For Exercise Physiologist:

Bachelor's Degree required

ACSM Exercise Specialist preferred

Or

For Registered Nurse:

Associate's Degree required

Bachelor's degree preferred

State of Michigan Registered Nurse licensure required

ACLS certification required (available upon hire)

1 year of Cardiac Rehab experience preferred

Annual Influenza Vaccination or Declination Required
