Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator and Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will assist the company in making profitable business decisions by gathering information and preparing accurate estimates using Xactimate. You will be the main point of contact with customers and subcontractors throughout the project. The ideal candidate is analytical, a great negotiator, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record as an Estimator and project manager.

Responsibilities 

• Fully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with clients, and visiting relevant locations
• Perform in-person inspections and understand the client's needs in order to sell the project
• Determine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costs
• Gather bids and negotiate with subcontractors to secure the best possible prices
• Create and submit estimates to customers and insurance companies
• Negotiate with insurance adjusters to get your estimates approved

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Estimator and a project manager is required
• Ability to forecast building costs and knowledge of estimation formulas
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Skilled in relevant software (Xactimate)
• Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills
• General construction background

This is a W2 position with a base salary and commission structure.
