Volunteer/Intern: Board Development Coach

Hasana, Inc. is seeking talented students in the Chicago Loop area for a variety of spring internship positions. Take advantage of on the job training, mentorship and exposure to all aspects of the fashion industry.

Job Description

Provide training direction, encouragement, and motivation to enhance the Board's effectiveness and recruitment efforts.

Plan, organize, and conduct this year's Development Retreat.

Explain and present information on the following retreat topics: Board expectations and responsibilities, fundraising, community partnerships, and marketing.

Plan and direct group activities and discussions for this year's Development Retreat.

Instruct individuals or groups on how to be an effective Board member.

Inform current and potential Board members of goals and strategies the organization plans to implement.

Provide ideas and suggestions for Board enhancement.

Maintain knowledge of Board activities.

Recruit influential and successful individuals for the Board.

Qualifications

Experience in training individuals and fostering group activities and discussions.

Excellent presentation skills and an ability to connect with others

Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Passion for women's education and economic opportunities.

Administration and management knowledge.

Bachelor's Degree in a related field

2-4 years in non-profit organization experience.
