Store Development/Store Design:

The Store Design team ensures retail spaces are visually appealing, functional, and aligned with the brand identity. Their responsibilities include concept development, spatial planning, collaboration with internal and external partners, compliance with safety standards, and project management. Ultimately, the team creates engaging customer experiences while optimizing store efficiency..

Your role at Sephora:
We are looking for a passionate and fearless Store Designer who will play a key role in delivering on the promise of Sephora’s innovative retail experience. Collaborating with the store design team and cross-functional partners, this position contributes to Sephora’s success by elevating the overall quality of store design to uphold the Sephora experience while meeting cost, schedule, and operational requirements. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working through the complexities of problem solving for a unique site condition as they are with maintaining a relentless eye for the overall best design solution for any given project scope. 

• Manage projects and develop feasibility studies and create optimal plan layouts in high volumes
• Organize and collaborate with internal Sephora and external Kohl’s business partners through various phases of the projects
• Understand, maintain, and help build schedules as well as have excellent time management skills
• Create plans and support for store optimization retrofit fixture roll out for existing shop-in-shop stores

We’re excited about you if you have:

• 3-5 years in retail architecture, retail design, architectural firms, or similar fields .
• 3-5 years of experience with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Suite .
• 1-5 years of familiarity with Smartsheet, Box, Google Drive, or similar platforms .
• Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
• Make sense of complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. Consider various inputs, criteria and tradeoffs to arrive at the best decision/recommendation.
• Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
• High level of initiative and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Possesses a high level of curiosity. Actively seeks new ways to improve their craft. Embraces feedback and loves a challenge.
• Actively demonstrates both creative and analytical skills, detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Have general knowledge of retail industry standards, architectural building & ADA codes, fixture design, merchandise requirements and any other design elements that may need to be incorporated into a project.
• Fluent in the design and construction standards for new stores and fixture initiatives and be diligent in creating store solutions that achieve scope and budget objectives.

The annual base salary range for this position is $99,790.00 - $111,530.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
