Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is perfect for an experienced Special Education Teacher specializing in Life Skills for students in grades K-3. This position offers both full-time and part-time options and spans the full academic year, providing stability and the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners development.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with life skills requirements
• Collaborating with fellow educators, therapists, and families to support student progress and inclusion
• Utilizing evidence-based teaching strategies and assistive technologies to enhance learning experiences
• Monitoring and documenting student growth to inform instruction and provide feedback
• Creating a positive, supportive classroom environment that fosters independence and social skills

Desired qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification with a focus on early childhood or elementary education
• Experience working with K-3 students, specifically in life skills or similar special education settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to meet diverse student needs
