Overview Christ the King Catholic School seeks a mission-driven and dedicated part-time K-8 Spanish Teacher to join our team beginning December of 2025. A Preschool - 8th grade Catholic elementary school in the North Seattle neighborhood, CKS is a welcoming, diverse, and faith-filled community that has been fulfilling its mission since 1939. Candidates should be practicing Catholics who are committed to sharing our Catholic faith with students and guiding students to achieve high academic standards. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree. Responsibilities Promote Catholic identity. Be fluent in Spanish. Candidates should possess good organizational and interpersonal skills. Hold a current Washington State Teaching Certificate. Bring enthusiasm and collaborative team spirit. Have experience teaching Spanish. Assure the selections and organization of curriculum and instruction materials. Demonstrate knowledge of Spanish language standards and ability to adapt methods and materials to differentiate instruction. Assure the development of a process for learning. The teacher instructs students, monitors student understanding, and reteaches when necessary. Assure the evaluations of students’ progress. The teacher maintains accurate and current individual records of the student’s academic progress and shares this information with both the student and the parent. Assure the fostering and maintenance of a safe classroom community that is conducive to learning. The teacher establishes and maintains appropriate behaviors and develops strategies to resolve conflict within the Responsible Classroom® model. Assure effective oral and written communication with school administrators, faculty members, parents, and students. Salary Salary : Depending on experience and qualifications, ranges from part-time salary range of $38,160 to $45,050. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications. Benefits Benefits : The position is part time (26.5 hours per week) and does not receive benefits. There is option to increase hours to full time and be benefits eligible if aftercare supervision is added to the job until 6pm daily.
