Job Title: Solid Waste Facilities Manager
Site Location: (Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for a year or two, subsequent relocation to the U.S. planned)

Job Scope:
This role oversees the assignment, supervision, and evaluation of personnel operating refuse collection vehicles, conducting waste collection activities, and performing various tasks within a municipal solid waste management system. The position requires strong leadership in landfill operations, equipment maintenance, administrative duties, and residential, commercial, and industrial waste collection programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate moderately complex refuse collection services, including residential, commercial, and special trash operations within a designated area.
Assign, monitor, and review daily work activities to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Maintain a valid state landfill operator's certification/license.
Operate and maintain specialized landfill equipment, including sorting/conveyor systems, woodchippers, heavy material shredders, balers, incinerators, and related processing machinery (must hold OEM certification).
Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience:
At least five (5) years of documented experience managing a solid waste landfill, processing facility, or sorting facility comparable in size and scope to NSGB.
Four (4) years of experience must include managing operations under State/EPA regulations.
Skills:
Proficiency in landfill operations, equipment maintenance, administration, and waste collection programs.
Prior supervisory experience
OEM certification for operating and maintaining landfill processing equipment.
Ability to obtain NIMS Levels 100, 200, and 700, as well as HAZWOPER and SWANA certifications within six (6) months of employment.
