About this Role

Serving as a key contributor, the Senior Application and Dynamics 365 Developer will help shape the technology landscape for the application development team. This role leverages specialized expertise to architect, develop, and enhance innovative applications using the Microsoft .NET framework, Dynamics 365, Azure, Power Platform, and cloud-based technologies. Within this environment, responsibilities include hands-on work with both on-premises and cloud solutions, operating at the crossroads of modern software design and practical business impact.

The environment supports a diverse technology stack incorporating C#, VB.NET, Dynamics 365, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power Automate, Power BI, and integration with third-party tools.

Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements for new applications and enhancements to existing business processes.
• Design, develop, and implement new solutions within Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft .NET framework (with a focus on C#), including troubleshooting, patching, and enhancing current applications.
• Lead modernization efforts for legacy software and reporting tools, supporting the migration of SQL SSRS reports to cloud-based platforms such as Power BI, and replacing traditional processes with Power Automate flows.
• Communicate effectively with customers, end-users, team members, and senior leadership to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
• Mentor and support fellow developers, fostering knowledge sharing and consistency of technical skills across the team.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive the continuous improvement and modernization of our application development environment.

To succeed in this position, candidates must have:

• Demonstrated experience in application development utilizing Microsoft .NET (C# or VB.NET), Dynamics 365, and T-SQL, or equivalent technologies such as Python, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or PL/SQL.
• Proficiency in application and database design methodologies.
• Understanding of Agile and SCRUM frameworks and their application in software development projects.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

While not mandatory, the following skills will give candidates an edge:

• Experience working within cloud-based platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
• Comprehensive knowledge of full-stack development, including user interface, application logic, database integration, and reporting layers (SRSS and Power BI experience are a plus).
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC), secure coding practices, security auditing, and accessibility compliance standards.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application development principles and architectural best practices.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
