Job Description
Position Summary
As a Server at The Little Room, you will play a key role in creating a positive dining experience for our customers. You will be responsible for selling and serving food and drinks in a professional and efficient manner, while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Follow safe food service protocols in accordance with Health Department standards
Greet and seat customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
Take customer orders and relay them to the kitchen staff promptly
Serve food and drinks to customers in a timely and efficient manner
Keep accurate records in the POS system and process transactions
Monitor and supervise the Busser as needed
Clear and clean tables when the Busser is unavailable
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Minimum Qualifications
CA ABC Responsible Beverage Server certification required
CA Food Handler certification required
Be 21 years of age or older
Basic mathematical skills; ability to make change
Basic reading and writing skills
Basic computer skills
Strong English language skills preferred, bilingual a plus
Multi-task oriented
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
Must be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items
