POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for developing, verifying and maintaining systems that ensure product is manufactured to Federal, State, Company and Customer standards. Create and communicate training material to Management and staff. Work closely with the Operations Management team to ensure product is manufactured properly and in a timely manner. Evaluating product both analytically and through sensory evaluation

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  1. Roasting QC
    1. Evaluate green coffee ensuring it meets company requirements
    2. Verify blend receipts are followed
    3. Verify roasting protocols are followed
    4. Train Roasting Team on roasting techniques
  2. Packaging QC
    1. Develop system plans for new and existing products
    2. Train team members to identify product deficiencies
    3. Perform regular test on product and packaging material
    4. Communicate equipment issues with the Technical Staff
    5. Report all deficiencies to management
  3. Maintain a safe & sanitary facility
    1. Verify crew is performing work to company SOP’s
    2. Verify crew is performing daily, weekly & monthly sanitation procedures
    3. Verify and enforce Federal, State & company food safety guidelines
    4. Verify & maintain all documents, logs or systems
    5. Verify the building is secure throughout the shift
    6. Report all deficiencies to management

4) General

a) Ensure all work is performed following Company, Federal & State policies, guidelines and laws.

b) Make recommendations to team members if deficiencies are found

c) Be available for inventory counts when scheduled

d) Work with all departments and customers to create a better coffee experience for our customers

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Experience: 3+ years manufacturing/warehousing experience (recommended)

Education: High School Diploma

Computer Skills: Microsoft office (recommended)

Language: Well-developed verbal and written English communication skills

Certificates/Licenses: HACCP (if don’t have, plan to be certified required)
