Patient Services Transporter 1
Nuvance Health Part?Time 32 hours 7:00?am??11:30?pm, every other weekend rotation.
Job Summary: Brings patients to and from their designated testing centers, delivers equipment to the nursing floors, and removes/delivers blood products or sterile supplies.
Responsibilities
- Transports designated in?patients and out?patients.
- Assists in maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
- Participates in setting and attaining department goals.
- Maintains confidentiality of all aspects of patients and their families at all times.
- Utilizes communication skills effectively with patients, families, visitors, medical staff and hospital personnel.
- Keeps current regarding job?related duties through required in?service education and staff meetings.
- Formulates and uses effective working relationships with all health?care staff, patients & significant others.
- Assertively seeks guidance and direction as needed.
- Provides coverage for Code 99s.
- Serves as dispatcher as needed.
- Applies basic tractor set?ups and retrieves equipment for other traction sets.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (equivalent).
- Minimum of six months related experience.
- Bilingual skills desired.
- Must understand and speak conversational English and possess listening and comprehension skills.
- Must be able to work with young, elderly, sick and physically challenged people.
Working Conditions
- Manual: Some manual skills, motor coordination and finger dexterity required.
- Occupational risk: Some occupational risk present.
- Physical effort: Very heavy effort; may exert up to 50?lbs. force.
- Physical environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
Salary Range: $17.00 $24.91 Hourly.
