Position Overview:
As a Refuse and Recycling Collector, you will play a crucial role in our operations. Your responsibilities will include:
– Collecting and dumping refuse or recyclable materials from containers into trucks.
– Sorting items set out for recycling and ensuring they are placed in the correct designated compartments.
– Organizing schedules for refuse collection to ensure timely service.
– Working in a challenging environment that may include handling composite waste from garbage or recycling containers.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a physically demanding and potentially unpleasant environment due to odors associated with waste materials.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to safety and following company policies.
- Previous experience in waste management or recycling is a plus, but not required.
