Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Buffer / Detailer to join our busy body shop team. The primary responsibility will be color sanding and buffing freshly painted vehicles to achieve a flawless finish. This role is critical in ensuring that every vehicle leaving our shop reflects the highest quality of workmanship.
Responsibilities
Perform color sanding, buffing, and polishing on freshly painted surfaces.
Remove imperfections such as runs, dirt, orange peel, and minor defects.
Maintain proper use of buffing equipment, pads, and compounds.
Inspect finished surfaces to ensure a high-gloss, showroom-quality finish.
Safely handle and store tools, products, and equipment.
Work closely with paint technicians and shop staff to meet deadlines.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
Experience in automotive buffing, detailing, or paint correction (preferred).
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
Ability to operate polishers, buffers, and sanding tools safely and effectively.
Knowledge of different buffing compounds, pads, and finishing techniques.
Physical ability to stand, bend, and work with hand tools for extended periods.
Willingness to learn and grow within the trade.
