Responsibilities

• Providing technical product training and support to customers and business partners
• Delivering application expertise and knowledge to customers and business partners
• Proactively supporting sales opportunities and visiting customers to offer product demonstrations and consultation in sales meetings
• Training and supporting our customers onsite, via email, phone, and interactive web-sessions
• Advising our customers to optimize their experiments for their applications and identify new and promising applications
• Creating application notes and other technical documentation
• Providing product improvement suggestions based on customer experience and feedback

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in Material Science, Life Science, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Hands-on expertise with material characterization techniques, process characterization, and analytical instrumentation
• Hands-on experience in upstream bioprocessing (e.g., cell culture, bioreactors, media optimization)
• Experience working in a CDMO environment is highly preferred
• Work experience in Biopharmaceutical, Pharmaceutical or Bioprocessing environment a plus
• Experience of applied data analytics methods, in anyone of the following topics is a plus, Multivariate Data Analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE), or PAT
• Extensive experience in laboratories, Process Development and cGMP environments
• A customer-oriented mindset, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with software scripting (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) for data analysis, automation, or process optimization
• Support the sales organization on existing products through product presentations, demonstrations and application studies
• Self-motivation and the desire to work with customers
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in diverse teams and cross-functionally, prioritize and multitask
• Excellent interpersonal skills and desire to work with customers
• Proficient with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office

Work Environment

This position involves working in an office environment and in a home office setting, customer sites, and analytical laboratories. It involves substantial communication with employees, corporate partners, customers, distributors, visitors, vendors, contractors, and others. On occasion, work outside of regular business hours may be required. With or without reasonable accommodation, able to:

• Work in an analytical laboratory
• Work In Bioprocessing facilities
• Travel to customer sites
• Work in office environment
• Use telecommunication tools

Travel

Expected travel up to 30%.
