Job Description

Description We are in the process of recruiting an Accounting Manager/Supervisor for our team based in Long Beach, California. This role is pivotal within our Wholesale Distribution industry, where you will be tasked with overseeing all facets of our daily accounting and finance operations. Responsibilities: - Implement and maintain cost accounting to ensure accurate costing, while closely collaborating with operations to monitor and control production and purchasing expenses. - Handle complex accounting transactions across multiple companies and ensure balance between inter-companies. - Prepare, analyze and ensure timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals. - Assist in the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP. - Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Support in managing cash flow by monitoring and reporting on outstanding receivables and payables. - Collaborate with other departments, such as operations and logistics, to gather necessary information for accurate costing and financial reporting. - Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and company growth. - Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting functions. - Undertake other duties and AD HOC Projects as assigned. Requirements - Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems - Experience with ADP - Financial Services - Knowledge of BlackLine software - Familiarity with Concur expense management - Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems - Ability to perform all Accounting Functions - Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) - Proficiency in Auditing procedures - Experience with Billing Functions Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
